
David M Godfrey

David M Godfrey started the company and had over 35 years of fee appraisal experience in all phases of real estate appraisal.
He started working for C.H. Godfrey Appraisals in 1979 as a fee appraiser, the same year he enrolled at the University of B.C., in Urban Land Economics. The appraisal course at that time was known as the R.I.(B.C.) program which is a four-year diploma course.
David was granted the CRA designation in 1985 by the Appraisal Institute of Canada and achieved the AACI in 2004 through the reciprocity agreement between the RI and AIC.
He was the Director of the “North” with the BC division of the Appraisal Institute of Canada since 2011 and sat as “Chair” for the “North” for the RI from 2011 to 2014.
David has authored various publications for the appraisal magazine and spoke at the Real Estate Institute of BC Educational Symposium in 2012 on the topic of Airport Valuation.
He had completed in excess of 17,500 appraisal assignments over 35 years for all national banks, trust companies, numerous law firms, government departments, companies, and corporations as well as private individuals.
David retired in 2019.
