Keenan Hopson

BSc, AIC Candidate Member


Keenan Hopson was born and raised in Prince George.  He was fortunate to receive a hockey scholarship to the University of Maine, where he graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Accounting.

Keenan played professional hockey in Europe for a season before moving back home in 2009, at which time he began working as an Appraiser Trainee for BC Assessment.  

In 2013, he was awarded the Post Graduate Certificate in Valuation from the University of British Columbia.  He subsequently became a member of the Real Estate Institution of British Columbia, R.I.(B.C.).

During his time at BC Assessment, Keenan was a member of the residential, farm, cost, and MIP (Major Industry and Power) teams.  Keenan specialized mostly in legislated and special use properties. 

In 2015, Keenan left BC Assessment to work for the City of Prince George in the Economic Development Division.  At the City, Keenan was responsible for attracting investors to Prince George to grow and diversify the economy.


In 2019, Keenan became partners with Sean in Godfrey Appraisals Commercial, which was later renamed to Godfrey, Cranston & Hopson Appraisals (GCH Appraisals).  Keenan is currently a Candidate Member of the AIC and is mentoring under Sean.
